What Challenges Do Training Managers Face?

Through my work on global projects, I’ve had the opportunity to share insights and experiences in seminars and lectures. These speaking engagements have also led to opportunities to support corporate training programs, where I’ve been fortunate to work alongside HR and learning professionals from the early stages of program development.

Each organization faces its own unique set of challenges. With as many companies as there are, there are just as many types of concerns. While training themes vary widely, I’ve increasingly heard a common request from those in charge of training initiatives:
“We want programs that feel fresh and effective—especially for veteran employees.”

Most companies already have structured training programs in place for new graduates and junior staff. But when it comes to mid-level leaders or experienced employees, many have already gone through various training programs multiple times over the years. Interestingly, the more dedicated a company is to employee development, the more common this trend seems to be.

On the other hand, participants themselves can grow jaded over time. After attending multiple training sessions, some may assume, “This will be more of the same.” Others may doubt its impact altogether.
Highly motivated individuals—those who pursue self-development through business books and independent study—sometimes come in with the mindset, “I already know this topic, so I’ll be fine without training,” which ironically makes the training less effective.

There’s a growing need for training programs that can engage even those who feel “training fatigue” or who are no longer challenged by conventional formats.

A New Answer: Immersive Reality Training

Immersive Reality Training offers an innovative solution to these needs.
The number of participants, the themes, and the character combinations can be tailored in endless ways. Because each interaction and storyline unfolds in real time, no two sessions are ever the same.

Even with the same theme, a change in character role leads to different outcomes—and new insights. There’s always something to discover. It’s a fresh experience every time: never repetitive, never boring.
That’s one of the greatest strengths of Immersive Reality Training.
