Why We Offer Immersive Reality Training

— Turning Understanding into Collaboration

Admittedly a broad theme, but at PM Global, our corporate mission is:
"Establishing greater global collaboration."
We strive to be an organization that helps people work together and shape a collaborative future.

That said, collaboration doesn’t happen without strong communication—and communication is something we continue to explore and refine. Drawing from our experience in project management, we aim to support better collaboration by offering practical, communication-focused solutions that reflect lessons we've learned in the field.

Collaboration Starts with Respect

To collaborate and work closely with others, we must first build trust—and trust is rooted in respect.
Understanding and respecting someone else’s perspective is the foundation for earning their trust.
In every successful project we’ve been part of, we’ve seen how essential mutual understanding and respect among team members truly are.

Yet truly understanding another person is not easy. After careful thought, we arrived at one answer:
“If you become the other person, you begin to understand how they feel.”

How Can You Become Someone Else?

The key lies in letting go of your own identity for a moment and stepping fully into another personality—immersing yourself in someone else’s position, background, and experiences.
Through this kind of realistic, role-based simulation, we believe participants can come remarkably close to understanding another person’s inner world. Our focus is on pursuing realism.

To support this immersion, we create detailed, believable business scenarios.
Grounded in reality, these situations encourage meaningful and focused communication.
The format is highly adaptable and rich in learning potential.

As working professionals, participants must act to achieve specific goals. This requires more than just thinking—it demands imagination and initiative. Participants must influence their environment and engage others to move the situation forward. In doing so, they strengthen a wide range of communication skills, such as framing persuasive arguments, choosing the right people to approach, and negotiating effectively.

Breaking Out of Your Shell

When playing a different personality, people often feel free to try things they wouldn’t normally attempt. They move beyond their personal “norms” and begin to explore new behaviors. This trial-and-error process leads to powerful realizations.

By questioning fixed ideas and broadening their perspectives, participants often find themselves breaking out of old patterns. And once they do, they become more open to collaborating with others.

That desire—to collaborate, to achieve shared goals, and to contribute to a better future—is exactly what led us to create the Immersive Reality Training program.
